St.Hermengild

St.Hermenegild was a Spanish prince, the son of Leovigild and brother to Reccared. He was impriosoned by his Arian father and finally beheaded with a sword for refuseing to take communion from an Arian bishop.

I'm doing a series of pictures of obscure and forgotten saints. This was done with blick markers, red,green, and orange staedtler finliners and white gel pen on marker paper. (I've never used it before, hence the background.)
